My daughters music is too loud. I put on my Bose noise canceling headphones. Muffles the sound, but still a distraction. Plug the headphones into the phone and turn on the Tune in Radio app. New Age & Relaxation-Waltz on the Branches. Sounds perfect. Hit play. Lovely, I can write to this. Looking down at the screen on the phone, I read, Wicca Radio-Music for the Witches. Really!?! Wow.   Oh well, I kind of like the music. Feel wrong for listening to it. I am not a witch. But I will listen while I write. This time. I’d set the timer for 10 minutes after reading that the best way to get good at writing is to just write. So here I am writing and the music is working with me. Wouldn’t be good music for housework. Hmm,..waves, the sound of the beach, flute, dolphins. The theme from ‘Flipper’ plays in my brain. Black and white television.

And there you go. Ten minutes of writing. Resolution to my daughters loud music solved. Life is good.

Ding. Time up.

Today I’ve gathered items around the house to be listed on EBay this weekend.  Hoping to make some money to help pay for my daughters trip to Disney World with her school choir.  Only need about one thousand dollars. Yep, that’s all.

It’s not a mandatory trip.  But she’s in her senior year and so far has made honor roll all through high school.  So, she deserves it.  Past fundraising efforts will help defray the cost minimally, as one can only sell so much gift wrap, flowers or braided bread.  Harder still when everyone else in town has a child in school selling the same thing.

So,..if you’re interested….look me up on EBay. Seller name: russandkaren.  Maybe there will be something you must have.

I’ll be away most of the weekend, so listings on EBay and my next post might be delayed.

“What’s a ‘blog’?” I ask my teenage daughter.  “Look it up on the internet, Mom!” she replied with a sigh and a roll of her eyes.  So much for mother/daughter interaction.

I searched ‘blog’ and became overwhelmed.  Not having the time or patience to learn everything, I’m just going to ‘wing it’. Learn as I go.
